Re: Bryan Pearse and Rising Athletes Advisory
Our family hired Bryan in January 2015 to work with our son, Kyle Johnson, who at the time was a 16 year-old forward playing in the BC Major Midget Hockey League. Kyle was an improving player and was beginning to have success at that level but was not receiving any interest from Junior “A” teams. Bryan believed in Kyle and immediately began opening doors for him including getting him on the ice to practice with two BCHL Junior “A” teams prior to the end of the season.
Kyle’s Major Midget team had success in the playoffs and eventually won a Championship and, throughout the playoffs, Bryan was promoting him to specific teams that Bryan believed would give Kyle the best opportunity to make the team and potentially have a good role in his rookie season. Bryan’s efforts helped Kyle get a commitment from the Prince George Spruce Kings which was a team that had numerous graduating forwards.
During Kyle’s rookie season in the BCHL, he was fortunate to receive a great deal of playing time on a rebuilding team and the result was a tremendous amount of improvement and exposure. During Kyle’s rookie season, Bryan promoted Kyle to NCAA coaches of schools with high quality academic programs as he believed Kyle’s strong academic background gave him an advantage targeting those programs and an opportunity to receive a tremendous education.
Bryan’s recommendation to play Junior “A” hockey for a rebuilding team and his promotion of Kyle to the Spruce Kings General Manager and Head Coach may be the primary reason that Kyle received ice time, exposure and improved tremendously which resulted in Kyle receiving an offer from Yale University to play NCAA hockey beginning the 2018-2019 season. As a result of hiring Bryan, Kyle has an exciting hockey and academic future ahead of him
